Lorelei Moxon
Lorelei Moxon is a filmmaker, composer, and musician based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. From terrorizing her family in fourth grade with her recorder practicing, to playing flute and piccolo in symphony orchestras, to scoring her peer's short films, she has always had a passion for music. Growing up, she was obsessed with the magic of movies, and always wanted to be 'in' on the secret of how they were made. After falling in love with surrealist and cowboy films in high school, Lorelei decided to investigate this persistent mystery.
Now, as she pursues a Bachelor's in Film, Television, and Media at the University of Michigan, Lorelei combines her extensive musical knowledge, her infatuation with film, and her endless supply of determination to explore themes of deep friendship, surreal horror, and the absurd.

Filmmaking
I adore every part of the filmmaking process; from catching an idea and writing a script, to preproduction planning, to shoot days, and the experimentation of post production. I have written and directed four short films, but also love producing, assistant directing, editing, running sound, script supervising, PA-ing - anything that will get me on sets or in editing rooms working in collaboration with others.
I love both the zen of editing for hours on end and the energy and excitement of being on set.

Composing
In addition to my love for film, I have played flute for over ten years in various ensembles. My passion for music was my first foray into the world of art, and is my foundation in all that I do. From writing experimental short films around pieces I love, to scoring my peer's projects around campus, I adore combining my love for film and music.
